Take highway construction as an example. Highways will inevitably cause traffic noise pollution in residential areas, schools, and hospitals along the line. For such areas, we use the proper term for acoustics, which we call the acoustic environment sensitive point.
Under what circumstances will road traffic noise be required to install sound barriers? Today, the sound barrier manufacturers will introduce them in detail. With the development of traffic, more and more roads are being repaired, and cars of various uses are on the road, causing a lot of traffic noise pollution to the residents along the way. Next, let's discuss together, under what circumstances will road traffic noise be required to install sound barriers?
Take highway construction as an example. Highways will inevitably cause traffic noise pollution in residential areas, schools, and hospitals along the line. For such areas, we use the proper term for acoustics, which we call the acoustic environment sensitive point.
According to the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Environmental Noise Pollution Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China" regulations, in order to ensure that the acoustic environment in the areas along the line meets the corresponding requirements in the national standard GB3096-93, eliminate or slow down vehicle traffic sensitive points along the line Measures must be taken to prevent noise hazards to reduce the noise to a reasonable range.
In the "Environmental Noise Standard for Urban Areas" introduced in 1993, urban areas are divided into five categories, and the noise requirements for each category are:
Class : area: Quiet health care area, villa area, hotel area and other areas where quietness is particularly needed, 50dB during the day and 40dB at night; this type of area located in the suburbs and rural areas strictly implements this standard of 5dB.
Second type of area: Areas dominated by residential, cultural and educational institutions. 55dB during the day and 45dB at night. Rural living environment can refer to the implementation of such standards.
The third type of area: mixed residential, commercial, and industrial areas. 60dB during the day and 50dB at night.
The fourth type of area: industrial zone. 65dB during the day and 55dB at night.
Fifth type of area: the areas on both sides of the city's main traffic routes, the areas on both sides of the inland waterway crossing the urban area. Noise limits also apply to such standards for the areas on both sides of the main and secondary railway lines crossing the urban area. 70dB during the day and 55dB at night.
Building sound barriers on both sides of the highway is an effective way to prevent and control road traffic noise pollution. The sound barriers have sufficient height and length. Generally speaking, the noise can be reduced by 10-15dB. If you want to increase the amount of noise reduction, you need to improve the sound barrier structure and design.
